Have you ever read a book, watchted tv, or heard someone say a word or phrase that you’ve never heard before? Then once you hear the new word and know the meaning of it, you notice that now you hear that word or phrase all the time. Well that has been happening to me alot latley. I know that it could all just be in my head, and that the reason I hear it all the time is because it’s a new word in my vocab and I’m paying more attention to it. BUT, the reason could also be on the paranormal side. I like to think that it is because, and this is a theory of mine..it is: Your prescence can alter life around you. For example, because you walked into a room in a happy mood, it lifts the atmosphere of the room. Now i kinda thing that is a bad example for my theory but i cant think of anything else. But I have other examples from my own experence.
Okay, my first example is the word memorablillia. I first heard it when i was going to the beach, and we stopped at a little ceasers to get some pizza. They were giving out this nicholas lidstrom figureins (memorabillias) and sarah, my friend, said that they were memorabillias. What she actually said was,
“hey did janelle [or ameer i forgot but one of my friends] leave his/her memorabillia?”
“What?”, I said confused at this word i dont think i’ve ever heard before?
“Their Nicholas Lidstrom gift”, said sarah
Well that’s how I first heard it, but since then I’ve been hearing that word alot, like on the radio or on TV. Another word is panhandeling, I first heard it on a movie i watched called “A clockwork Orange”, or something like that but it was an old english movie, but after that suddenly my friends used it in a sentence. I was like What! After that i began to realize this deja vu or whatever you wanna call it. Another word, or phrase I think it is, is hard-on… i know kinda weird, but i cant ever remeber hearing it anywhere before I read this book called “the diary of a teenage girl”. Suddenlty my friends using it. But yeah, that’s something I’ve noticed.
